Top Developers and Industry Leaders Join for Capital One DevExchange Hackathon

The financial technology space is changing rapidly, booming to become one of the fastest growing sectors in development. As new applications, services, and APIs are released that provide unprecedented access to consumer finance tools, developers are taking notice. 

To facilitate this growth and bring together the top minds in development, design, product development, and thought leadership around Fintech, Capital One DevExchange is presenting a Hackathon on November 10th. 

This invite and referral-only event will feature API experts from Capital One, industry leaders in Fintech and development, and many more working together to produce entirely new customer-centric platform experiences. 

What to Expect at the Hackathon

Twenty teams will be formed with developers, designers, product leaders, and industry experts from a range of companies for an all day Hackathon based around Capital One DevExchange's APIs including the Rewards API and Credit Offers API, as well as other opportunities the team is currently working on.

Awards for winning teams will be meaninful business opportunities. In addition to the generous SWAG kit each participant will receive from Capital One, there will be rewards for top finishers in each of the API and judging categories. The top five overall finishers will be invited to Capital One Dev Summit Dec 1-2 in Mclean, VA to present their winning entries to 450+ attendees. 

The Amazon Alexa team will also be on site to teach teams how to utilize Alexa Skills in their apps. There will be awards for the best Alexa UX as well as for several categories related to the Capital One DevExchange APIs.
